Benefits:
  • Article Processing Charge: Waived

Note: There are no additional author costs such as submission fees or page charges, regardless of article type or APC eligibility.

  • Flexible author rights options (proprietary rights like patent and trademark is always retained by the author):

    • Full author copyright, non-exclusive publishing rights for ACM, and choice of Creative Commons license​

    • Full author copyright with exclusive publishing rights granted to ACM​

    • All publishing and copyright to ACM (publisher assumes protective and legal responsibilities)​

  • The author may choose to publish open access in ACM Digital Library (author to check funder's open access mandates)

 

To be eligible, articles must:
  • Have a corresponding author affiliated with The University of Texas at Dallas
  • Be original content
  • Have manuscript accepted for publication
  • Be accepted for publication from 1 July 2022

 

Authors may choose to publish in ACM's Gold Open Access Journals:
  • ACM Transactions on Architecture and Code Optimization (TACO)
  • ACM Transactions on Human-Robot Interaction (THRI)
  • ACM Transactions on Programming Languages and Systems (TOPLAS)
  • Transactions on Probabilistic Machine Learning (TOPML)
  • ACM/IMS Journal on Data Science (JDS)
  • Collective Intelliegence (COLA)
  • Digital Government: Research & Practice (DGOV)
  • Digital Threats: Research & Practice (DTRAP)
  • Formal Aspects of Computing (FAC)
  • Proceedings of the ACM on Programming Languages (PACMPL)
  • Proceedings of the ACM on Software Engineering (PACMSE)

 

...Or publish OA at the article and conference proceeding level in hybrid OA journals:

Note: Some proceedings are published by both ACM and IEEE, and they sponsor these conferences in alternating years. The ACM Open agreement only applies to proceedings from the ACM-sponsored years.
