Teacher Education

Democracy & Education aims to provoke rigorous, open, and inclusive engagement with the challenges of educating youth in the pre-K-12 age span for active participation in a democratic society. This open access journal seeks to support and sustain conversations that take as their focus the conceptual foundations, social policies, institutional structures, and teaching/learning practices associated with democratic education.

Educational Philosophy and Theory publishes articles concerned with all aspects of educational philosophy. It will also consider manuscripts from other areas of pure or applied educational research. In this latter category the journal has published manuscripts concerned with curriculum theory, educational administration, the politics of education, educational history, educational policy, and higher education.

First published in 1951, Educational Theory has long served as an important forum for scholarship and debate in the foundations of education. The purpose of the journal is twofold: to foster the continuing development of educational theory and to stimulate discussion of educational concepts and aims among educators. Sponsored by the John Dewey Society and the Philosophy of Education Society, and supported by several other scholarly associations, Educational Theory has always had a central concern with issues in the philosophy of education.

Philosophical Inquiry in Education is an international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the unique and distinctive contribution that philosophical thinking can make to educational policy, research, and practice. Global in outlook, the journal publishes articles representing the spectrum of intellectual traditions that define contemporary philosophy of education.

Philosophical Studies in Education is published annually by the Ohio Valley Philosophy of Education Society. The purpose of the journal is to provide a forum for the exchange of scholarly articles dealing with philosophical ideas related to education and schooling, theory and practice, and the differing aims which generally constitute the philosophy of education discipline.

Studies in Philosophy and Education is an international peer-reviewed journal that focuses on the philosophical, theoretical, normative and conceptual problems and issues in educational research, policy and practice. As such, Studies in Philosophy and Education is not the expression of any one philosophical or theoretical school or cultural tradition. Rather, the journal promotes exchange and collaboration among philosophers, philosophers of education, educational and social science researchers, and educational policy makers throughout the world.

Theory and Research in Education, formerly known as The School Field, is an international peer reviewed journal that publishes theoretical, empirical and conjectural papers contributing to the development of educational theory, policy and practice.
