Library Course Reserves Use LEGANTO!

Leganto, created by Ex Libris, is an online application that supports the creation and management of course resource reading lists. Instructors can build, maintain, and share resource lists that include all material types; library staff can provide resources efficiently; and students can access all course materials in one place and from any device. Leganto integrates with the Eugene McDermott Library's DISCOVER system, eLearning, and a variety of citation tools.

Through the use of Leganto, Instructors can:

  • Create lists of relevant, up-to-date materials gathered from a range of sources including the Library collection, internet (amazon etc..) and multimedia resources (YouTube etc..)
  • Easily manage and update course resources based on your course needs
  • Look at statistical usage of materials by students,

and Students can:

  • Easily access lists for all of their courses in one place
  • Engage with the resources, comment on readings, make recommendations for your class and the library
  • Build a personal collection of resources to use at other times

This guide is designed to help you use Leganto to create reading lists. Use the navigation on the side-menu to find tutorials and information on different aspects of Leganto.
