Rhetoric 1302 Resources for Students

Guide to library resources for students of RHET 1302.

Search the library to find and access high-quality, authoritative, scholarly research. Searching the library for information is different than searching the internet. Here’s an overview of what to expect!

Use the main search bar (Library Catalog) to find books media and more. Use Search Everything to find books, journals, articles, movies, and more. Use Articles & More to find articles and more by keyword or title. Use Databases to find library databases for your research subject.

1. LIBRARY CATALOG (mainly books) – use this option to search for books, ebooks, journals (by title), and media (streaming videos, DVDs and audiobooks). Includes physical items in the library building, but not articles.

2. SEARCH EVERYTHING – this is an all-in-one search of nearly all of the library’s online resources. Includes everything in a Library Catalog search, PLUS millions of online newspaper, magazine, and scholarly journal articles.

3. ARTICLE & MORE (mainly articles) find articles (popular and scholarly) available in the library’s online collection.

4. DATABASES – search curated collections of materials from subject or discipline specific areas. Includes resources from our library and other libraries.
