U.S., state, and foreign government and agencies produce many different kinds of documents. Many of them are available online, but some are only available in print collections. This guide contains tips and tools for finding government documents, both at UT Dallas and on the web.
The McDermott Library is a Federal Depository for both U.S. federal and Texas state documents. These documents are included in the Library’s online catalog, and many print items are available for check out.

United States Sites
United States Government Manual As the official handbook of the Federal Government, the United States Government Manual provides comprehensive information on the agencies of the legislative, judicial, and executive branches. It also includes information on quasi-official agencies; international organizations in which the United States participates; and boards, commissions, and committees. The Manual begins with reprints of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution.
