Where Do I Start?

A basic guide to resources and services addressing the most frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the library.

Study Rooms & Study Spaces

Study Rooms for individual and group study are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the library. They can be reserved online for a period of two hours up to 24 hours in advance.

All manner of open study spaces may be found on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors (see maps below).

When studying inside the library, please be mindful of your environment. Keep noise to a minimum and take all calls to the front Lobby area. See our About page and Building Use Policy for maps of quiet study areas, from total quiet to quiet group study.

Study Spaces on the 1st Floor

  • For unrestricted study space (where phone calls and video calls are allowed), see the areas by Information Literacy Services, below the Sonora Lab, and surrounding the stairs near the restrooms.

  • Individual seating along with cubicles are sprinkled all throughout the floor.
  • Lastly, you will find seating in the Lobby along the north end of the floor (bottom of the map), near the entrances.

  • Surrounding the D-G Stacks in the southwest corner of the floor (Room 3.4).
  • And directly in the center of the floor.
