Congressional Databases and Web Sites

ProQuest Congressional  This database provides access to the publications of the United States Congress from 1970 to the present including Congressional committee hearings and reports, the Congressional Record, the United States Code, the Code of Federal Regulations and the Federal Register, bill texts, and legislative histories for Public Laws. Online full-text availability for these documents covers 1989 to the present. For publications running from 1970 to 1988, ProQuest Congressional provides indexing with abstracts. This indexing provides access to Eugene McDermott Library's U.S. Serial Set collection on microfiche.  For access to Congressional publications before 1970, consult the printed CIS Indexes on the 2nd floor of McDermott Library, or ask a reference librarian for assistance.

Congress.gov  provides congressional documents, bills, GAO reports, committee information, roll call voting history etc. for the House of Representatives and the Senate.
