Finding Journal Articles

To find articles on any topic use a general database to research possible subjects. Use keywords, personal names, places or a combination of these. Academic Search Complete would be a good multidisciplinary resource to begin with. To broaden your search, select a resource from the alphabetical list.

Most databases have one or more search box to fill in. Here are some ways in which you might tailor your search:

To find research articles on stem cell research:

stem cell

AND

research

OR

science

To find articles about characterization in Jane Austen's Emma:

austen

AND

characterization

AND
