A Map



McDermott Library has a collection of 28,000 maps from many different sources.  Most are published by various government agencies, but some are from commercial publishers.

The map collection includes the following types of maps:

1.  Topographical maps (Arranged alphabetically by State and by quadrangle name)

2.  Road maps (Road maps of U.S. cities and foreign countries are arranged by Library of Congress call number)

3.  Maps produced by various federal agencies (Arranged by Superintendant of Documents call number)

4.  Maps produced by Texas state agencies (Arranged by Texas Document call number)

5.  Commercially published maps (Miscellaneous and topical collection arranged by Library of Congress call number)

6.  Miscellaneous flat maps (Larger maps arranged by Superintendant of Documants call number)

7.  Digital maps (Consult the tab above)

8.  Atlases (Various world, country, and topical atlases shelved in the reference collection under call letter G)
