From the Library Homepage, you may use the following resources for locating books and articles at the library:

1. DISCOVER (Articles, Books & More) - Search for scholarly journal, popular magazine, and newspaper articles in addition to all the content the Library Catalog includes (see #2). See Search Tips -> Discover (Articles, Books & More) for detailed instructions on locating articles through this tool. 
    
2. Library Catalog - Search for books, ebooks, journals (paper) or online journals. See Search Tips -> Library Catalog for detailed instructions on using the catalog to find print and electronic books.
   
3. To get the maximum benefit from the Discover search, be sure to Login before starting your search. Logging into your account will activate additional databases than not signing in, giving you access to more online articles.
   
   
    
4. To conduct a more focused search for articles in a particular subject area, go to Databases to access databases arranged categorically by subject (e.g., Computer Science, Literature, and Behavioral and Brain Sciences). If you already know the database you want, access it through the alphabetical list.
                                                          

Request It Through Interlibrary Loan 

Can't find the book or an article you need here at the library? Request it through Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

• Use the online ILL Form to request books, articles, or DVDs not owned by the library.
• Books and DVDs are typically delivered in 5 to 10 business days. Articles require 2 to 3 business days for delivery.
• ILL is FREE of charge.
• You do not need to know who owns the book or journal to submit a request.
• Required textbooks and books on reserve cannot be requested through Interlibrary Loan.

Get Books from Other Libraries in the Area (TexShare)

Borrow books from other libraries in the area by getting a TexShare card and visiting a participating TexShare library that carries the book(s) in question.

• Apply for a TexShare card online.
• Most university, college, and community college libraries as well as public libraries in the state of Texas participate in the TexShare program.
• Use WorldCat (free web version) or WorldCat (online library database) to find out which libraries in the area own the book you need. We suggest you contact the library in advance to make sure the book in question is available and that it can be borrowed through TexShare.
