How to use the Library system to find Course Reserves material

What Are Course Reserves?

Course Reserves are books, articles, or other material that is set aside for a particular class or program. Checkout times are limited to facilitate fair access to all students.

Finding My Course Material

Go to the Course Reserves search box.

You can search by Instructor, Course Information, or keywords anywhere in the record.

Examples: (Smith; Rhet 1302, argument)

Print Material on Reserve

Physical items on reserve are held at either the Circulation Desk or the Multimedia Services Desk (depending on format). Write down the call number provided and library staff at the desk will pull the material for you to check out.

Most items check out for 2 hours for use in the building only. Some will be allowed to checkout overnight based on the professor's request.

E-Reserve Material

Course Reserves may be provided electronically. Click the "view full text" link to access the files. You will need a password provided by the professor.

Library staff members do not know these passwords.
